The decomposition of the cases will not occur in a standard environment or by the simple use of these. Biodegradation of the product must take place in industrial compost.

Our ecological promise
Our biodegradable cases are made from a blend of two components: PLA and PBAT.
PBAT is an unnatural material, a petroleum derivative, but completely biodegradable.
PLA is 100% plant-based. To make PLA, there is no single recipe, it is a technical term describing a bio-based material, usually made from corn or rice starch.
To date, there is no so-called biodegradable shell that is 100% PLA. Because PLA is widely used in food packaging, it is not possible, due to lack of sufficient resources, to manufacture shells with only this component. Hence the need to use PBAT, which is nonetheless biodegradable.
It takes about 12 months for them to be completely degraded. The case should be placed in a suitable environment, with some heat, humidity and enzymes, this is called industrial compost.
The composting of our hulls is therefore carried out only in an industrial composter.
All of our cases are made in Europe. Regarding our other products, in the event that manufacturing in Europe is not possible, especially on load products, we only use low carbon means of transport such as boat or train.
